"PINOCCHIO" ORIGINAL LUNCH BOX
- 1940 Walt Disney Productions (c) W.D.P. 8" x 4" x 5.5". Color litho on flat metal.
This early lunch box features characters from Walt Disney's second feature film "PINOCCHIO". It has two movable carrying handles. Pinocchio is pictured on the removable lid.
Pictured on the sides are Jiminy Cricket, Figaro, Honest John, Gideon, Lampwick, the Coachman, and a Pleasure Island donkey. There is an outline of the town's skyline in the background.
The metal non-graphic tray which originally fit on the inside of the box just under the lid is missing and not included.
A scarce, well designed lunch pail with nice eye appeal.
Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with miscellaneous surface/paint/edge wear. Moderate surface scuffing with very mild rim dents. Misc. spot oxidation, most evident on bare metal areas. Moderate fading on red litho areas of box lid. Thermos bottle is not included. Imagery is still bold and very attractive.
Overall, despite defects, we feel this box is still in very displayable condition by most standards (see photos).
