    American Thermos Bottle Co Norwich CN No 820 Jumbo Vaccum Jar w/ Nesting Pan Set
    This is a vintage glass lined thermos jar that measures 16" tall x 8 1/4" diameter and features a set on nesting aluminum pans inside. The bottom is marked by maker, " The American Thermos Bottle Co. , Norwich, Conn. NO. 820 Jumbo Vacuum Jar". The item features handle with locking mechanism. The lid is some kind of plastic with plastic type gasket seal and is real snug fit. There is some age cracking to gasket but it functions.  The underside of the lid is aluminum. See my photos of the lid both sides. The glass is good without cracks or chips. There is a set of nesting aluminum pans that go down inside to store food. The pans lock together and are removed as one unit and put back as one. There is a ring on the top pan and the bottom pan is curved to fit into the curved surface of the glass. This is a great item for camping. The color is black. There is some scratches and scuffs to the black metal exterior as you can see but no dents. This item weighs about 10 lbs without shipping box! I have packed in box with foam around for protection of the glass inside. Expect a heavy package that weighs a 14lbs 8oz shipping box.
