This is a beautiful antique lunch pail from late 1880s to 1900s. It is a ceramic lunch pail with a screw-on metal lid. The lid is decorated with bands around the top and the initials J.R in an oval. The handle has a beautiful little twist to it and has a nice weight. It's in great condition for its age. Part of the porcelain screw-on part is damaged, but the lid still screws on. The body is in great condition with no chips or cracks. The lid looks lile it has a bend to the edge. Overall it measures 9" tall by 6" wide and it such an interesting conversation piece. Elegant and functional with a great history. Please see the photos for more detail.
