DISNEY SCHOOL BUS METAL DOME LUNCHBOX AND PLASTIC THERMOS from Aladdin Industries 1961-1973
.
This Walt Disney-themed lunchkit was the most popular lunchbox
ever issued
and longest-running and most prolific box in history.
This key dome box was the most successful box of all time selling more than 9,000,000 over its 12 years of sales from 1961-1973 and came in both orange and yellow, with the matching thermoses changing over the years as Aladdin changed designs.
This box is the orange variety.
Features many lovable Disney characters getting their ride to school – not too sure about Goofy behind the wheel!
Wonderful design idea by Disney executive Al Konetzni – with artwork by
Elmer Lehnhardt
– artistic director for Aladdin.
This is an excellent example of this key kit is and an important part of any serious lunchbox collection - and a must-have for the Disney fan!
Condition: Box and Thermos are correct (including original wire thermos holder).
Dome box lithos are clean and glossy throughout with just a few very light blemishes.  Clean rims and metal hardare.  Bottom is also very clean.
Inside of box is also very clean with one blemish in iddle of box-  with no previous owner markings.
Box in overall strong Excellent plus C-8.5 condition.
Thermos decals are very clean throughout - in overall strong Excellent plus C-8.5 condition.
From my personal collection – stored carefully in a cool, dry, smoke-free room away from sunlight.
