    Description

See photos for condition and contents. This lunchbox is previously owned and shows quite a bit of wear.  There are numerous scratches, some small dents, and the black paint has worn off in many spots.   It is missing the handle (which I believe was leather) and I do NOT have the thermos.  It measures 10" x 5" x 7"  It weighs 2 pounds, 2 ounces.  I do not know when it was made, but there is a 1913 patent date.  It DOES stick to a magnet.  It slides out fine and stays securely closed.
Landers, Frary & Clark was a housewares company based in New Britain, Connecticut. It operated from 1865 until its assets were sold to the General Electric company in 1965.  They manufactured a wide variety of products over the years, including stainless steel bull-nose rings and electric ranges, kitchen scales and vacuum bottles, window hardware and ice skates, mouse traps and percolators, can openers, corkscrews, cutlery, straight razors, aluminum cookware, and thousands of other products. Many of these items were marketed under the brand Universal.
Any information about this lunchbox would be appreciated.   Satisfaction guaranteed. I'll pay shipping if you want to return.  Please check out my eBay store - tevawaugh. I have lots for sale including other collectibles.
